Smallville Series Finale

Alright, so I know the people who normally read my stuff won’t care but I feel the need to do this. lol.

So, I watched the series finale of Smallville tonight. It’s the first time I actually sat down and watched a whole new episode of Smallville as it first aired start to finish since the sixth season of the show. During the sixth season I just kind of stopped caring about Smallville, found the storylines to be extremely irritating and confusing, and kind of gave up on it because it felt like it was becoming almost a nuisance to watch it. But before that I was like one of the biggest Smallville fans out there. Like seriously, obsessed. I taped every episode as it aired so that I could rewatch them right away and then would buy the dvds as soon as they came out, I bought the soundtrack, I had calendars, I collected magazines that had articles about the show or actors in them, I bought the official guidebooks to the show, I bought comic books about specifically Smallville, I had all the novels based off the show and would get so pumped about them that I had to buy them as soon as they came out, I had a keychain, I had a necklace that was supposed to be a copy of Lana’s, I had an autographed photograph of Tom Welling, I had trading cards, I had tshirts, I mean seriously I had everything Smallville you could think of. I actually STILL own all of these things and never plan to get rid of them. I was OBSESSED. So even though I lost interest in the show and honestly I felt like it got really annoying and stupid for awhile (just my personal opinion, I certainly don’t mean to offend anyone), I still love the first 5-6 seasons of the show a lot and decided that I wanted to see how it ends. Honestly, it was pretty good in the sense that it was better than I thought it would be considering I expected to have seriously no clue what was going on and I can definitely tell it got better since it was when I stopped watching, but I was still disappointed and confused. I personally thought that they spent WAY too much time on Jonathan Kent and that whole internal debate thing Clark was going through and I kinda thought that was stupid, but maybe I’m missing something from not watching the show, I don’t know. I just thought way too much time was spent on someone who died like 5 years ago lol. And the whole Chloe comic book reading thing confuses the fuck out of me. How is she reading a Smallville comic book, if they exist in that world then everyone would know Superman is Clark Kent, wouldn’t they? Unless she’s not in that world and it’s all just a comic book series? I don’t understand. I feel like I missed something huge. lol. And why exactly if all those years passed did Clark and Lois never finish up their wedding? Like seriously? But anyways, my roommate has just started watching Smallville for the first time and plans on watching the whole series so I’m thinking about maybe giving those last four seasons another chance and watching the whole series over again with her including seasons 7-10 this time so maybe this whole thing will make more sense to me then. Plus, I feel like I was such an intense fan for such a long time, started watching the show from the very beginning when it first aired and I was 11 years old, that it just feels like I should attempt to finish watching the whole thing so I think I’m going to make an effort to do that. As long as I have the time and the patience to get through the parts that I found so obnoxious the first time.

But anyways, watching Smallville reminded me of the HUGE crush I used to (and who am I kidding, still kind of do) have on Tom Welling. He seriously might be the sexiest man in the world. So I’m going to post some pictures here of his extremely sexy self to help cheer up the Smallville fans out there that are depressed their show just ended :) And pretty much for anyone, including myself, that just wants to look at his hotness!
